11th of november 2011, 11/11/11... a military date to update the website I created in 2009... The idea came to me while thinking of the soon closure of one of the most prestigious squadron in France.... It was for me important for the members of the squadron to share its last moments with our friends of tiger community. All, proud of hosting, with our legendary tiger spirit, our tiger fellows on Cambrai airbase during nearly two weeks on Nato Tiger meet 2011. Now it’s time... Closure is approaching quickly. and emotion at the same time... As the last Flight leader of SPA162 «tigers» in Cambrai, I will have the honor to transfer the traditions on 12/03/30 to our friends of 1/7 fighter squadron of Saint Dizier ,operating on Rafale and so continuing to make live the tiger spirit wich will link forever these two squadron members. It will also be personally a moment full of emotions, because it will be on that specific day my last flight on Mirage2000 after 2000 flight hours on the «beast». Fellow Tigers, dear visitors, The fighter squadron 01.012 « Cambresis » will soon close its doors , facing defense department restructurations.Until the end, with the help of 103 Air force Base « Commandant René Mouchotte », this unit full of history will assume its missions, with the same profesionalism and Tiger spirit than at its beginning, in 1952....Soon 60 years of an extraordinary history, wich will join together his senior tigers for a last homage on 30th of march 2012 at Cambrai. The tiger spirit, we are sharing with 05.330 fighter and test squadron « Côte d’argent », will go to 01.007 Rafale squadron « Provence » 113 Air force Base « Commandant Antoine de St-Exupéry » at this date. long life to him.
